T. Sean Harvey
Chairman of the Board
Sean brings his boundless energy and passion for the industry to our Board. He has a depth of experience in the mining industry having spent 10 years in investment and merchant banking primarily focused on the mining sector. More recently he has held senior executive and Board positions with a number of mining companies, including TVX Gold Inc., Atlantico Gold Inc. and Orvana Minerals Corp. Sean also serves as a director of Perseus Mining Ltd., Serabi gold Plc., Abacus Mining & Exploration Corp., and Sarama Resources Ltd. Sean has an M.B.A in Finance and an LL.B specializing in tax and corporate law.
President, Director & CEO
John has more than 35 years of mining experience, mostly spent in Canada's northern territories. Previously, he was President and CEO of Western Keltic Mines until it was acquired by Sherwood Copper. During his career he was Vice President, Northwest Territories Projects for De Beers Canada where he was primarily responsible for the permitting and development of the Snap Lake Diamond Mine. His experience also includes 12 years with Breakwater Resources Ltd / Nanisivik Mines Ltd in operations at the Nanisivik Zinc and Lead Mine on the northern tip of Baffin Island, and he spent six years with Strathcona Mineral Services Ltd. where his work included engineering, feasibility studies and project development. John is a graduate of the Colorado School of Mines, with a B.Sc. in Mining Engineering. He is also a Director of public companies; Hudson Resources Inc., Abacus Mining & Exploration Corp. A strong advocate for the mining industry, he is also a director of industry organizations; Klondike Placer Miners' Association (KPMA), and the Mining Association of Canada (MAC).
Mike brings over 35 years of experience in mineral exploration in North America and overseas to the Victoria board. He has over 25 years of experience in managing public resource companies and has a demonstrated track record in acquiring and developing high quality mineral projects. He serves on the Board of Abacus Mining & Exploration Corp., and Canasil Resources Inc.
Chris held senior management positions at Kinross Gold Corporation from 1998 through 2010 and Aecon until 2016. Prior to this, Chris spent time in the treasury department of Barrick Gold Corporation and was a trader for Lac Minerals and the Bank of Nova Scotia. Chris holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfred Laurier University.
Mr. Sean Roosen is the Chair of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Osisko Gold Royalties. Mr. Roosen was a founding member of Osisko Mining Corporation (2003) and of EurAsia Holding AG, a European venture capital fund. Mr. Roosen has over 30 years of progressive experience in the mining industry. As founder, President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Osisko Mining Corporation, he was responsible for developing the strategic plan for the discovery, financing and development of the Canadian Malartic Mine. He also led the efforts for the maximization of shareholders' value in the sale of Osisko Mining Corporation, which resulted in the creation of Osisko Gold Royalties. Mr. Roosen is an active participant in the resource sector and in the formation of new companies to explore for mineral deposits both in Canada and internationally.
Jacques Perron, has worked in the mining industry for more than 30 years and has extensive technical and operations experience. Jacques was appointed as a director of Victoria Gold Corp, in June 2018. He is the Chair of the Technical committee and a member of the Audit Committee. He also serves on the boards of Centerra Gold Inc. and Aquila Resources Inc.
Most recently Jacques was President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc. Prior to joining Thompson Creek in 2013, Jacques was President and Chief Executive Officer of St Andrew Goldfields Ltd. since 2007.
Previous senior management positions included Senior Vice President of IAMGOLD Corporation from 2006 to 2007 and Vice President, Canada of Cambior Inc. from 2004 to 2006. From 1984 to 2004, Jacques held a variety of increasingly senior management positions with Cameco Inc., Placer Dome Canada Limited, Breakwater Resources Ltd., Cambior Inc., JS Redpath Ltd. and Noranda Inc. Jacques has also been a director of the Canadian Mineral Industry Education Foundation since 2007.
Jacques has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering from l'École Polytechnique de Montréal.
Letha J. MacLachlan Q.C.
Letha J. MacLachlan Q.C. gained a wealth of experience in the mining industry through the practice of regulatory, environmental, and Aboriginal law in northern Canada.
For 35 years she practiced law and served on regulatory tribunals with a focus on resource development. She provided strategic advice and representation in relation to environmental impact assessments and approvals of mining and petroleum projects, permitting, and benefit agreements with affected Aboriginal communities and governments. Letha was chair of the federal Panel that reviewed the environmental impact assessment of Canada's first diamond mine and has worked for several diamond and gold mining companies with projects north of 60o.
Letha served as a director on the board of a TSX listed renewable energy company and on the boards of several not-for-profit organizations.
